Eric R. Peskin, Ph.D.
- Associate Technical Director, High Performance Computing Facility
- Research Assistant Professor
Dr. Peskin joined the Center for Health Informatics and Bioinformatics in 2010 as the Associate Technical Director of the High-Performance Computing Facility. Dr. Peskin earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 2002. There, he developed new algorithms for concurrency exploration in timed, asynchronous circuits. He later joined Intel as a Senior Software Engineer in Logic Technology Development. From 2004 to 2010, Dr. Peskin was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His research specialty is reconfigurable computing. His projects include using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to accelerate applications in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Bayesian network (BN) learning, and image processing.
